	Answer by Dr Bhupinder K, MD (doctor) on Fri 27, Aug 2010 08:48am: Hello, Stress can be one of the causes of secondary infertility(difficulty in conceiving even after one pregnancy).But there are host of other causes like age, taking up alcohol or certain drugs that causes infertility, food, coffee, and many causes beyond these. Infertility starts to kick in slowly from age 30 and more rapidly from age 35 onwards in women. Moreover, medical causes may be due to problems in ovulation,tubes,uterus,cervix,endometriosis,pituitary,hypothalamus or secondary male infertility. Also,t he quality of egg and sperms decrease with advancing age. Exact cause for difficulty in conceiving can only be diagnosed by investigations to weed out the various possibilities and then confirming a diagnosis. I sincerely hope that helps.
