	I have not had my period for about a month and a half. I havetook multiple pregnancy tests and they all show negative. I havebeen having pains in my abdomen area, lower back and pains when I have intercourse with my husband around my cervix area. I had a pap smear and it came back fine. I have been having these pains on and off since my last period. I havealso had problems with ovarian cysts but the doctor sai dmy last one burst but hesaid my body would absorb the fluids. Could the reason I am not having my period have anything to do with occuring pains?

	Answer by Dr. Rahul Srivastava (doctor) on Wed 03, Jun 2009 04:01am: Hello, pain during your periods or before periods called Dysmenorrhea, which may be because of your any structural abnormality either within or outside uterus, this can also be the reason of your cervix pain. The length of a woman's menstrual cycle will typically vary and irregular menstrual is very common without any pathological causes. Though your problem is common and it will go off after a certain period of time but would sincerely advise you to consult to a gynecologist who should also have a diploma of female fertility and get yourself examined for any anatomical (structural) abnormality.
