	I m 29. I had one chemical pregnancy one year bedore. After that i hav concieved in february 2010. But there were no cardiac activity in sonography at 8 weeks. I had d&c after that and again pregnant in october 2010 positive pregnancy test but no sac in sonogram at 6 weeks. Am i pregnant or this time also i hav some serious problem ? plz answer soon. thanks

	Answer by Dr Sanjivani Wanjari (doctor) on Sun 24, Oct 2010 07:37am: HI, your pregnancy test is positive but no gestational sac in the uterus. This can be due to either it is a chemical pregnancy or a delayed pregnancy in which case the sac may appear later or it could be an ectopic pregnancy. You should do serum HCG levels and see. There should be doubling of HCG in 48 hours to consider a pregnancy as normal. Repeat a scan after 7 days. Hope this helps.
