I really need to know if im pregnant or not.

	I think I might be pregnant because I have been having a lot of the symptoms. But I had what seemed to be a normal period. Could I still be pregnant? I looked online and I a got a lot of maybes, is their anything besides a doctors test that could tell me a more definate answer?

	Answer by Dr Bhupinder K, MD (doctor) on Sat 18, Apr 2009 12:24pm: Hello, The bleeding that you had could be due to menstrual bleed or even threatened abortion bleeding since the status of your pregnancy is not confirmed. I would suggest a serum HCG test.The levels of HCG will differentiate between the two. There is no other method other than urine for pregnancy test and serum HCG levels(both measure HCG presence and levels respectively) and ultrasonography to confirm the status of pregnancy.
