	Is it safe to use Sudocrem on your skin when you are pregnant?

	Answer by Dr. Namita Shrivastava (doctor) on Wed 02, Sep 2009 03:59am: Hi, Sudocrem is used often in nappy rashes and it contains-hypoallergenic lanolin, zinc oxide (astringent),benzyl benzoate and benzyl cinnamate (for healing),benzyl alcohol ( local anesthetic ), it also contains anti bacterial agents according to the manufacturers guide. However use in pregnant women is not documented or studied. So consult your doctor before using any such topical products also especially in the first 3-4 months of pregnancy. Hope this helps.
