I have been with my partner for nearly 5 years we have 2 children both healthy, one 3 years and one 9 months. My partner has just fouind out he has clamydia from having tests after seeing blood in his urine. I know I have been faithfull and have never had a STD STI. He is adament he has been faithfull even giving him the option of telling me and us working through it.He has had clamydia when he was 19 which he was treated for but never given the option of a re test to make sure it had gone. So the questions I have is Could I of contracted this infections from him at the early stages of our relationship and not know about it plus had 2 children healthy? Could he of had this and not passed it on to me? is there any other way he could of contracted it? Doyou know if I would as standard of been checked for this with a smear test or while bloods are checked when pregnant as I know HIV is tested. Please help me

Hello, I think we should move further by not entering into detail of acquiring the infection. Some obstetricians get STDs also tested besides TORCH. You have to see your medical reports but any way you have to rule out the infection in you. I would advise you to consult your gynecologist. The infection can be tested in blood and vaginal swab. Take care.
