Since your last period was on 10/9 and you had unprotected intercourse around 10/17(which could have been
ovulation days),so chances of pregnancy are high.Your expexted periods date was 11/9 but if you still have not
got any periods,then chances of pregnancy are there.Pls try doing home based urine for pregnancy test after 1
week of your due periods date(11/9). In pregnancy, the growing tissues of the new conception (early fetus)
secrete a special hormone into your body called ‘human Chorionic Gonadotrophin’ (HCG). This enters your blood
as early as one week following fertilization.
Confirmation can be done after blood pregnancy tests(after 8 days) and ultrasound uterus(after 6 weeks).
If pregnancy is ruled out,then other causes like side effects of yasmin(changes in menstrual flow and
amenorrhea are common side effects of this drug), hormonal imbalance,increased stress,eating
disorder,increased smoking,alcohol or caffeine use,PCOS,fibroid,polyps and endometriosis have to be probed by
a gynecologist.
