Pregnant at 33 weeks with problems

	I am 33 weeks and 2 days pregnant and have cramps and lower back pain. I was spotting 2 nights ago, and there was even a clump. I just notice a little pink with I wipe after urinating. Also - I have pain in the vagina area and often feel like I have to go to the bathroom (#2) but nothing happens, but I have been going other times so I am not constipated. What does this mean

	Answer by Dr Rowena S, MD (doctor) on Mon 23, Feb 2009 02:02pm: Spotting may be benign (the beginning of labor, from mucus plug or sexual activity)or may be serious (signal a complication such as a miscarriage, infection, or preterm labor). With your other symptoms of cramping, lower back pain and urinary symptoms, I recommend that you see your obstetrician immediately for further evaluation. A pelvic examination and some tests may be done to ensure that you and your baby are fine and to rule out any complication.
