Progyluton

	Asked by Unregistered (Female; 26; Malta; Hi I am 26 years old and have pco. I was on the pill for over 10 years but stopped it in May 2011 because my husband and I are planning to start a family. My gyne put me on 1000mg metformin (and folic acid). I got 1 period till Now and my cycle seems to be 39 days long. I took some blood work this week and my hormone levels have not improved. I visited a fertility specialist as I was concerned with the results and he confirmed that I am not ovulating. He said that I have many eggs and if I continue to not ovulate and we have to resort to injections There is a big chance that my ovaries will become hypersensitive and many eggs will be released and the chance of a multiple pregnancy will increase. He does not really think that metformin is going to help me because I do not have any other symptoms of pcos - I am thin have no excess hair gruff voice etc. However he upped the dose to 1500mg just in case ( he said 1000mg) is too little and will not have any effect. He also put me on progyluton to regulate my cycle - I cannot find much information about it on the Internet so I am a bit concerned about taking it ; Relevant drugs:Metformin 1500mg folic acid ) on Mon 11, Jul 2011 07:24am
	My husband and I would like to start ttc in October is progyluton the right course of treatment ? could the remnants of the hormone in the tablets affect the developing fetus if I do get pregnant
