	So my boyfriend and I had sex a 7-8 days after the first day of my period, unprotected. He told me a few days later that he did not ejaculate inside of me, but I swear he did. Whatever the case, even if he didn't, is there a good chance I could get pregnant? I'm 23. This was on Tuesday morning. Its now Saturday. What are the soonest one would experience pregnancy symptoms in most cases? I've been feeling sick when I wake up, sleeping a lot, and now have a sore throat which I doubt has anything to do with pregnancy. I'm just nervous. We did plan on TTC, but now he seems a little bit unsure about it (it was his idea.) Please help!

	Answer by Dr Sanjivani Wanjari (doctor) on Mon 06, Jun 2011 12:32am: HI, 7 to 8 days after the menses is not the very fertile time of the menstrual cycle and hence pregnancy chances are very less. However as you have asked the earliest you can know is around the time of expected menses. If your menses come on time then the risk is not there. If menses are delayed then you should do a pregnancy test and see. Your symptoms at present seem to be because of the sore throat. Hope this helps. Take care and good luck.
