Thank you for posting your question. Even if you lose one of your tubes, you can still have a normal pregnancy
as long as your other tube is normal. And as long as you are ready to conceive again, you can try to become
pregnant because the other tube is fine. If and when you do conceive again, it is important that you inform
your Obstetrician as soon as you suspect that you might be pregnant so that she can schedule you for an early
sonogram and monitor you closely.
However, a repeated ectopic pregnancy may occur in 10 - 20% of women and there is also an increased risk of
infertility. Fertility treatments such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) wherein healthy embryos are implanted
directly in the uterus are usually done.
