	am 40yrs old and am 12 weks late my nipples are sore i did a test 3 weks ago and it was neg but could i still be pregernat and was it to early to tell 3 weeks ago

	Answer by Dr Bhupinder K, MD (doctor) on Tue 05, May 2009 05:36am: Hello, After ring use is stopped, it usually takes one or two months for periods to return to the cycle you had before using it. But sometimes it may take six months after stopping. This is more likely if your periods were irregular before using the ring.I would suggest that if you don’t get your regular periods after 6 months of stoppage of the birth control,then pls consult a gynecologist.
