	Answer by Dr Bhupinder K, MD (doctor) on Sun 26, Apr 2009 09:28am: Hello, Golden eye ointment contains chloramphenicol and it should be used only for the advised number of days.If you want to use golden eye ointment then pls discontinue its use as and when you are pregnant. The safety of this medicine during pregnancy has not been established and it should not be used by pregnant women. Hope it helps. Take care and regards.
