Hi, How are you? Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by the compression of the median nerve located at the carpal tunnel at the wrist. This may present as burning, tingling, or itching numbness in the palm of the hand and the fingers. Early diagnosis and treatment are important to avoid permanent damage to the median nerve.
