could i be pregnant when i have the injection and had a period that lasted 1 and a half days

	i am on the injection and have had a period but it only lasted 1 and a half days i have felt movements in my stomach but am told its just muscle spasms people look at me and ask if im pregnant is it possible that i could be pregnant

If you have been taking it at the correct time, either once in 8 or 12 weeks, then the chances of your being pregnant, is almost nil. The contraceptive injection contains a progestogen hormone, which works mainly by stopping ovulation (the release of the egg from the ovary). During the first few months you may have irregular bleeding which can be heavier and longer than normal. But this usually settles down and the periods become lighter than usual. So, the fact that your period was only for 11/2 days is consistent with the side-effects of this type of birth control. The first fetal movements are called "quickening" and it can be felt anywhere between 18-24 weeks of pregnancy, by which time you would have experienced other symptoms associated with pregnancy. You could always take a home-pregnancy test or consult an Obs/Gynec to rule out/confirm the possibility.
