Hello,
Headaches in pregnancy are most commonly due to hormonal changes, fatigue, tension, hunger or physical and
emotional stress. Since most drugs are unsafe especially during the first trimester, try these remedies first.
Drink lots of water. A head massage can help relieve stress. You can also try alternate hot and cold
compresses for 10 min. Try not to miss meals, as low blood sugar levels can trigger headaches. If you do not
get any relief, try a pain-relief gel for external application. Paracetamol (pain-killer) is considered
relatively safe but should not be taken without consulting your gynecologist first. I hope this helped and you
feel better soon.
