	do a contraceptive pills affects results of pregnancy test after one month using this pills and after that period we had test pregnancy using the kit?

	Answer by Dr Madhulika Mohanty (doctor) on Mon 06, Sep 2010 03:32am: Dear Ivo ideally contraceptive pill cannot effect the result of pregnancy after one month of usage.Pregnancy test result depends on the HCG level the pregnancy hormone.HCG levels can first be detected by a blood test about 11 days after conception and about 12 - 14 days after conception by a urine test.
