Answer by Dr Nidhi Sharma (doctor) on Sat 27, Nov 2010 02:39am:

Hi, You seem to be suffering from an entity called unexplained infertility in which despite being everything normal in the couple, conception doesn’t occur. Each cycle of ovulation induction has a success rate of 10-12% only. You should also get follicular monitoring done to know the time of ovulation so that you can time the intercourse. Intrauterine insemination of husband’s semen done in the cycle can also increase the chances of conception. You can discuss this with your gynaecologist. At the time of ovulation, cervical mucus becomes thin and abundant in quantity. It is also quite sticky. I hope this helps. Take care.
