	hi there im a 20 year old girl and normally have regular periods but this month it hasnt arrived. i havent had full unprotected sex with any one but did have a fumble before christmas were i let a fella put his fingers in me. now im worried that this to be the cause. can you help

	Answer by Dr Bhupinder K, MD (doctor) on Tue 24, Feb 2009 01:49am: Hello, Putting fingers inside the vagina with no unprotected vaginal intercourse cannot lead to pregnancy.Delaying of periods can happen because of hormonal imbalance,increased stress,eating disorder,increased smoking,alcohol or caffeine use,PCOS,fibroid,polyps and endometriosis.I would suggest a urine for pregnancy test(for this kits are available over the counter) and then a gynecological evaluation for the causes listed above.Best..
