i think i did had another miscarriage

	my period finally did start - about 4 days late- first what i thought was just spotting but now that it actually started, theres pieces of blood. everything happening just like it did when i had a miscarriage the first time but this time before i could maybe even find out that i was pregnant :( and i really just want to get pregnant again but what can i do???

	Answer by Dr Rowena S, MD (doctor) on Tue 24, Mar 2009 06:18pm: The most common cause of miscarriage during the first trimester is chromosomal abnormality, hormonal problems, infections or maternal health problems, lifestyle (i.e. smoking, drug use, malnutrition, excessive caffeine and exposure to radiation or toxic substances), implantation of the egg into the uterine lining does not occur properly, maternal age or maternal trauma. It is important to identify which is responsible for your miscarriage to prevent it from happening again. In order to become pregnant talk to your doctor about this. Eat healthy and exercise regularly.
