	i am getting married in march and my fiance and i want to try to get pregnant right away. i have been on birth control for the past 10 years and am aware that my body will take some time to begin ovulating again. i am prepared to use other forms of birth control to prevent pregnancy until we are ready to get pregnant after the wedding, so when should i get off the pill so that my body is ready and ovulating by march?

	Answer by Dr Sanjivani Wanjari (doctor) on Sat 11, Jun 2011 06:37am: HI, reversal of ovulation after stopping the pills can be immediate in some women. However after long term use it may cause a post pill amenorrhoea and resulting anovulation. Hence if you are planning to get pregnant in March then you may stop the pills by December so that the body has a few months to revert the hormonal changes. Consult your Doctor. Hope this helps.
