Confused? Ovulation, Pregnancy. Is there an Accurate answer

This what the doctor told me: It is seen that pregnancy only occurs if intercourse occurs within the 6 days
prior to and including ovulation.Intercourse after the day of ovulation does not
result in pregnancy It is seen that the best timing of intercourse in order to
conceive is day 10, 12, 14 and 16 (in case of late ovulation) of a 28 day
cycle.

Check out whether you had intercourse around 1 week before ovulation of this
month i.e around 26-27th august. As you are saying that you had intercourse on 22
august i.e on day 10,so chances of pregnancy are there. The menstrual cycle
method of confirming a pregnancy is very unaccurate. To confirm whether you have
conceived or not,you can get home based urine for pregnancy test done. For
this, over the counter pregnancy kits are available.

So my question is, Do you count the day you started your period prior to ovulation? i started my period on august the 14 and it was thru on sunday the 17th i had sex on friday the 22, so i count from the day i started my period to see if im pregnant? Or do i count the day i ended my period?
Your telling me a possible pregnancy could be there so are you counting from the day i started my period?

Hi, How are you? You have to count from the first day of the last menstrual period as that is the first day of the cycle. So in your case you need to start counting from Aug 14th, which will be day 1. Hope this answers your question.
