is withdrawal bleeding whilst being on the pill evidence enough that you are not pregnant?

	Hi, I wanted to know that if someone unknowingly becomes pregnant while on the Pill will they still get withdrawal bleeding during the placebo week? Thanks Shaznay

A withdrawal bleeding episode occurs because the change in hormone dosage causes the uterine lining to weaken just enough to allow for some bleeding to occur. If this happens, the possibility of pregnancy is nil due to deterioration of the uterine lining where implantation usually occurs. To ease your anxiety, you could take a home pregnancy test to check.
