missed period

	. I missed my period by 12 days but am not nauseaus or showing any signs of pregnancy. Although I could be. i am afraid of being infertile because over a month ago i tried and was about 4 days late but failed. I am trying again and this time I am 12 days late but showing no signs am i pregnant?

	Answer by Dr. Malathesh K (doctor) on Mon 26, Jan 2009 12:37pm: Missing a period can be due to many reasons including stress, flu like illness, use of drugs etc. Pregnancy is an important cause for missed periods, and you would need a urine pregnancy test to be done on the morning sample to be sure about this, This may need to be repeated after a week if it is inconclusive.
