	my blood group is rh- n my husband is rh+.i have jst gone through an abortion due to no cardiac activity in the fetus.i jst wanna know that having inj.HCG 5000 7 doses during 5th week help to maintain a healthy pregnancy

	Answer by Dr Madhulika Mohanty (doctor) on Wed 02, Mar 2011 03:09am: Hi, sorry for the delay in replying .As you are Rhesus negative you should be more careful if your partner is Rhesus positive as you might have a Rhesus positive fetus and you have to be immunized either during pregnancy or after birth of baby. As you have undergone an abortion you should discuss with your doctor regarding immunization otherwise it might be dangerous for future pregnancies .Injection of HCG is to maintain pregnancy, but it has no role on cardiac activity.
