	my doctor suggested me to scanning for detecting fybroid.I did it soon after my periods.the radiologist mentioned there is thickness in utress(7.3mm thickness)but not mentioned itas fybroid.but doctor said to me that it may be fybroid.i have pcod also.iam taking medicine for that and for getting pregnent.is the thickness a fybroid ?or is it effect to getting pregnent?iam 24 yrs old&my husband 33yrs.2yrs after marriage.pls give me an answer

	Answer by Dr Smita Sarwan (doctor) on Sun 27, Feb 2011 10:10pm: Hi, It is not uterus thickness but thickness of lining of uterus called endometrium. The thickness of lining of uterus in just after periods and before ovulation is usually 3-4mm. Your uterine lining thickness is 7.3mm so it could be due to endometriosis. The fibroids look like mass in uterus and it may be round structure and as there is mention of no such statements so it can't be said that it is fibroid. You might not get pregnant due to endometriosis. You should repeat the ultrasound. Hope it helps. Take care and keep posting.
