	Answer by Dr Nidhi Sharma (doctor) on Wed 10, Nov 2010 10:05am: Hi, You can get Beta HCG test from blood. This test is more accurate than urine test in detecting pregnancy but is costlier. If this test is also negative, then pregnancy is ruled out. There are many other causes for delay in periods. It can be either due to stress, anxiety, weight gain, extreme weight loss, hormonal imbalance, thyroid problem etc. Hope this helps. Take care.
