ovulation test

	Hi I just want to ask.... If the ovulation test gives one dark and one light line, does this mean i am ovulating? Up untill yesterday i got one dark line only. Now theres two but one very light. If i am ovulating today, is it too late for intercourse to ttc? I live in a very small town and dont have access to doctors. so the net is my only resource!

	Answer by Dr Sarika Gupta (doctor) on Wed 23, Feb 2011 01:30am: Hello. Ovulation tests test for the LH surge that occurs before actual release of the egg. A positive test means two dark lines, one dark and one light line is negative result. Ovulation takes place usually within 12 to 36 hours after the LH surge occurs. So when your test has come positive then you should have intercourse at least on every alternate day for the next 5 days. It is not late for intercourse in your case. Hope this helps.
