pain in my rib area

	Asked by Unregistered (Female; 27; 12694; toxemia 6 years ago and it turned into the HELLP syndrome, had my son 3 months early. Did have high blood pressure that stayed in the 90's till about 6 months ago when I lost some wight. ) on Sat 27, Dec 2008 05:48pm
	I'm having a pain around my rib area, I have had this pain before from problems with my pregnancy and was due to high blood pressure. I don't feel like I'm having high blood pressure right now, I'm not showing any other signs like I usually do. I have had this pain all day and its really making me uncomfortable and not sure whats going on and what to do

However there is a possibility that this pain is originating from the heart. I would advise you to get your BP checked and schedule an appointment with your doctor for a complete exam. Pain in the ribs also occurs due to a condition know as costochondritis or rib inflammation. I would suggest you to take OTC NSAIDS like Motrin and see if it helps with your pain. Hope this helps!
