pink spotting a week before due period but 4 days after sex

	Hi, my period is due on the 8th of march, and my last period ended on the 14th of last month(february), i had sex on the 1st of march but today (5th) i had light pink spotting and pain over the area of my left ovary....

	Answer by Dr Veena, MD (doctor) on Thu 05, Mar 2009 04:26am: Spotting before the date of menstruation could be just a start of normal periods or spotting due to implantation. As, you mentioned that you had sexual intercourse, which very much corresponds to the date of ovulation. I would suggest that you get a pregnancy test done on march 8th to see if it is positive, and if it is positive consult your OB/GYN for further assistance.
