pregnancy 7 weeks

	Dear Doctor, Im 26 years old female and my husband is 36 years old. Both of us don't drink nor smoke and healthy. Im about on my 7th week pregnancy and this is our first pregnancy. I have been feeling quite worried for the safe of my pregnancy. I had ultrasound scan done at 6th week. Doc can see baby's heart beat. I saw a little bag in my tummy and doc says there is yolk in side and there is a little heart of baby's. but next to the bag, there is another smaller bag which looks empty. Doc says thats probably why I had spotting earlier at week4. Doc thinks its not normal but he says it happens sometimes. I saw doc made a note in the bag with yolk HEM1 and the other empty bag with HEM2. Im very worried if my pregnancy will goes all right. I have been working full time. My job is IT relevant and sitting in front of computer all day. Will that affect my pregnancy? last night I woke up at mid-night and feeling my stomach really score. It feels like I just ate tons of food. But all I had is fried crumbled eggs with grilled tomatoes and some rice at about 8PM. then I felt my tummy campy too and feeling nausea. I feel I was sweating and feeling too warm. it lasted about half an hour. This morning I had a bit bleeding nose... Im not worried about myself. I was just wanting to know if the scan result is normal for that thing looking like extra empty bag? is pregnancy gonna be a risky one? last week I had about 2 table spoons wine tossed in with my cooked spinach. I used it as cooking wine when I didn't realize that was wine! Is that quite bad? sorry lots of questions...we just didn't have any experience and this baby means a lot to us thanks a lot!

	Answer by Dr Veena, MD (doctor) on Sat 18, Jul 2009 01:43am: Miscarriages are common in the first trimester, but the exact cause for this is difficult to confirm. Fetal heart beat can be confirmed at the earliest by 6 weeks. On the ultrasound, at this stage of pregnancy gestational sac, yolk sac and cardiac flutter are seen. If cardiac activity is viable still 7-8 week gestation , chances of miscarriage are less. Stress, working for long hours, smoking, alcohol consumption can affect the course of pregnancy.
