pregnancy concern

	i have recently been taking medication to help dispel a kidney stone together with pain killers. i also have had x-rays for this problem. i now find that the pregnancy tests are positive. can the above treatment have effected the test or effect the embryo.

Most teratogens or agent that causes a birth defect to occur at a higher rate than expected, produce their effect during the sensitive 5th to the 10th week (embryonic period) of development when the major organs are forming (ref: http://www.obfocus.com/high-risk/meds1.htm)Have yourself evaluated by your doctor. Complete physical and pelvic examination and ultrasound will confirm pregnancy and fetal age of gestation. It is important that you consult your doctor first before taking any medications.
