Hello,
As such controlled hypertension(by antihypertensives)does not have any effect on conceiving, yet
antihypertensives like beta blockers may interfere with conception. My advise is to consult both a cardiologist
and a gynecologist as their co-ordination is required to select such antihypertensives that do not interfere
with conception and in such doses that they do not cause any adverse effects on maternal and fetal health.
Chronic hypertension is associated with an increased risk of pre-eclampsia, placental abruption, and increased
neonatal morbidity and mortality. So even if you conceive, pls do get yourself evaluated by both(cardiologist
and gynecologist)so that no risk is posed to you or your baby’s life.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted in case of additional queries
