hi i'm 25 yrs old, i have done all my pregnancy tests & the results are positive & now its 5 weeks. But my doubt is during my sexual intercourse with my husband, his penis didn't fully enter inside my vagina only the fluid enter & now i'm pregnant. i think my hymen hole was small to let the whole penis into my vagina in such a case will i have a normal delivary or will i have any complication during my delivary, if so do suggest me what i have to do i'm confused & scared regarding this situvation do suggest me what i have to do on further? Thank you for your time & consideration.

Answer by Dr Bhupinder K, MD (doctor) on Tue 16, Sep 2008 08:01pm:

Hello, Complete penetration of the penis is not required for conception. Sometimes the preejaculate or prostatic secretions can contain sperms and thus result in pregnancy. For a normal delivery, size of the pelvis or bony structures of the pelvis should be appropriate. There should be no cephalopelvic disproportion or any abnormalty with the bony pelvis.Cervical and vagianl opening are all muscles and they stretch and dilate during labor.Whether you will be having a normal delivery or not will depend on the timely pelvic and perabdominal examinations. It cannot be predicted but risk can be foreseen. I feel that an examination by your gynecologist will be the best. Hope it helps.Take care and regards.
